Mark your calendar for the change in worship schedule:

June through August Worship service begins at 9:15 AM (Same communion schedule) No Sunday School or Sunday morning Bible class

Remember there are Bible studies/book studies offered other days of the week, both in someone’s home or at church.

We are updating our web site. Most people looking for a church, preschool, Christian activity will use the Internet to find options near their home. We are always trying to keep our site updated and attractive. Melissa Pollock is our webmaster, and works hard to keep it current. Alexis Severson will be taking photos of Trinity people in action. Names will not be listed on the internet, but if she takes a shot of you and you would prefer not to have your image posted, please let her know.

Vacation Bible School: Trinity’s very popular Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! This year our theme is “Splash Canyon, God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride.” VBS will be June 25-29, from 9 AM – 12 noon. If you know of children age 4 years through 6th grade, please pick up a flyer on the bulletin board in the narthex and share it! For more info, you can visit our web site:

VBS Schedule:

  • Saturday, June 23, 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon:  VBS teacher/helper orientation
  • Sunday, June 24, 9:15 a.m.: VBS installation during worship service
  • Monday, June 25:  VBS BEGINS!
  • VBS Workers: We need more adult volunteers for VBS! That’s mornings of June 25 – 29. If you are available to help that week, please talk to Mary Milbrath about the positions available. It’s an exciting, fun week – usually over 100 children from our community are here to sing, play, and learn about Jesus! What a great opportunity to help!

Adult Catechesis Class continues this Tuesday from 68 PM.  We will learn more about Jesus, Holy Week, and the essential teachings of the Christian faith.  Everyone is encouraged to attend, and invite friends who might be interested in finding out what Lutherans believe.

LUTHERAN WOMENS MISSIONARY LEAGUE / LWMLRemember to drop your pennies and loose coins into an LWML Mite Box.  Based on the Biblical account of the widow's mite (Luke 21:1–4), the Mite Box is used to collect your small offerings, or “mites”, and are used to fund grants through Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. The Eastern District LWML has paid three of the eight grant requests that were approved at the last convention.  Your “mites” do mighty work!  See Vivian or Marti for more information or to get your own mite box.

Neighborhood picnic:The excitement doesn’t stop with the last day of VBS! The Saturday after VBS, June 30, while the tents are still up, we are inviting our neighbors to join us for a community picnic.  We need people to set up, grill burgers & dogs, serve as greeters, and clean up help.  Let Sue know what you are willing to do.  We also need a chaffing dish.  If you have one we can borrow, please tell Dick Burlew.

Our flower chart for 2018 is posted by the kitchen door. Sign up if you would like to sponsor an arrangement for a Sunday this year. Note the dedication you would like, or contact the church office ahead of time so it can be printed in the bulletin.

Are you looking for a way to serve at church? We encourage you to consider serving as usher during our worship services. If you are interested, please see Nancy or an elder for more information. Another opportunity is to sign up for altar duty for one month! This simply involves washing the Communion ware after communion Sundays (usually just twice per month), washing the linens and covering the altar. See Myrth for more information.

Daily Prayer for Individuals and Families prayer cards are now available at no charge. This laminated booklet is perfect for prayer time by yourself or with an unlimited number of people. Keep one in your Bible or hymnal. The prayer litanies included are for Morning, Noon, Early Evening and Close of Day. Pick up one for each member of your family so you can all be on the same page. This is a great booklet to have at your dining table for before or after meals. Daily Prayer can also be found in your hymnal (LSB). Cheryl Cox will be handing them out the next few Sundays or you may contact her to get your copies.

Severe weather policy at Trinity: When weather is questionable, we will try to keep our website up to date on cancellations: Also, feel free to call the church office, we will try to keep the phone message up to date, or call Pastor Foote or an elder. An email was sent out last Wednesday to all members and friends of Trinity on our email list. If you did not receive the email (from Nancy Gifft), please let us know so we can add you to our list. If you don’t use e-mail, please let us know that too, and we will ask your elder to give you a phone call with updates.

Church Flowers: The flower chart for this year is posted by the kitchen door across from our library. The cost of the flower arrangements is still only $20. You can take the flowers home after the service, but please return the vase for reuse. Please make a note of any dedication you would like printed in the bulletin.

Sign up to help with altar guild. This involves simply covering the altar and chairs after services, storing the paraments under the pulpit, and washing communion ware on communion Sundays (usually 2 per month). We ask you to sign up for just one month of service! A sign-up sheet is posted on the Trinity bulletin board. See Myrth Guest if you have questions.

Volunteer opportunities at Trinity… full descriptions of the responsibilities are in the notebook on the shelf in the narthex.  A brief summary is below:

Coffee Hour Hosts Needed: As we continue to strive to follow church-building as in Acts 2:42, 45, this year we are devoting to Fellowship!  To that end, please sign up to host a fellowship-coffee hour!  It is simple and is greatly appreciated.  A sign up sheet is in the narthex, along with directions.

Email Notification List: We are planning to start a group list for email notification of special events. If you would like to be included on this list, please fill in the following form or send you name and email address to
